Student Cash Loans – Cash for Higher Education

Files under cash | Comments Off

You might be thinking of studying aboard or in reputed institutions. But what becomes the matter of concern is the lack of fund. Thus, keeping in view, lending institutions have made policies to support students with required cash through student cash loans.

Student cash loans finance the expense that comes in the way of a student’s education. Buying books, admission fees, lodging, are some likely expenses that a student faces in his educational life. All such educational related expenditure can be met with the help of cash loans for student.

Student cash loans are actually of two types: government and private student loans. In government loans, all the expenses are made by government. This type of loans can be refinanced with lower rate of interest. Such loans are usually based on the financial needs of the student applicant.

Meanwhile, private student loans are provided by private benefactors. Student cash loans carry a number of advantages, and the foremost is that students can borrow cash they are seeking and repay it once after graduation and started to earn a specific income. Moreover, student cash loans have special interest rates that are calculated specifically for students. With the existing competition among lenders applicants can take the advantage and spot a marginal rate of interest according to their repaying ability.

Student cash loans are approved in spite of bad credit status. To approve student cash loans in instant, online application process is available. The privilege of online application process is that applicant can collect various quotes and approve loans just sitting from home or office by providing appropriate credit details.

How to Make Your Resume Stand Out Online

Files under job | Comments Off

Companies generally look to find the right candidates in as short a time period as possible when recruiting online. They look for someone with adequate experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications who would prove to be a good employee, and if this can be done without spending much time, even better! So what can you do to attract their attention and land the job that you are looking for?

When looking for job seekers online, the first point of contact between you and your potential employer is your resume. It becomes your representative, stands for all that you are, and highlights all your achievements. It speaks for you and all that you have done. You can use the following information to make your resume stand out online and attract the attention of online recruiters.

While recruiting online, employers aim to find as many relevant job seekers as they can in a limited time. They may visit different job portals and websites in a day in the quest to find the perfect candidate, or may rely on one of the larger job sites to automate much of this process.

As they will receive such a large number of resumes the time spent scanning a resume is usually only around 30 seconds to see if the candidate makes it to the next stage. That’s right. You have only 30 seconds to impress recruiters and you have to make your mark within that time.

So, how can you make your resume stand out online? How do you grab the recruiter’s attention?

You can do two things. Either you can post your resume on the best job-sites, and wait patiently for a call or you can use strategies to get a call right away. As recruiters are always in a hurry while recruiting online, grabbing their attention at the first opportunity becomes even more important.

Each time you upload your resume on a job site, you are asked for a headline. As routine a task as it may seem to you, from a recruiter’s point of view, a simple ‘Mr A’s Resume’ does not arouse interest but something a little more innovative and descriptive, such as ‘Computer Engineer Seeks Suitable Position’, will definitely catch their attention. This is a very simple technique to make your resume stand out from the huge number of online resumes that recruiters see.

Recruiters often concentrate on keyword searches while recruiting online, to focus on the right resumes. Make your resume keyword savvy. Using too much technical language or far too general language will make your resume practically invisible to recruiters. Instead adding job specific keywords to your resume increases your chances of being noticed.

1. Add titles of the positions you are seeking

2. Mention the names of the companies where you did your internships

3. List the names of the software you know

4. Mention industry specific skills

Social networking sites are also playing an increasing role in how recruiters find candidates online. Recruiters these days often visit social networking sites, as there are pages dedicated to job hunting. By listing yourself on such sites, recruiters can go through your resume and peek into your social activities, as long as you don’t include anything on there that will jeopardize your chances.

Ten Steps to Planning Your Job Search

Files under job | Comments Off

I read somewhere once that it can take on average about 500 hours to find a new job – the ‘right’ job, but that most people give up at 40-50 hours. What make these latter people lose sight of what they were after? I personally think a big reason is not having a good plan to help them keep focused and motivated. So here are a few tips I have gathered from how some of my clients have successfully executed their job searches.

1) Be clear about why you are searching for a new job

Do you need to get out of the job you are in right now sooner rather than later? Or is it time to go for the next logical step on your career path – and only the ‘right job‘ wil do? If you know what’s driving your job search, it’s easier to keep focused and remember for the sake of what you are choosing to spend some of your freetime on the job search process.

2) Be clear about what you are looking for

Even though you might just want out, preferably yesterday, it is important that you know WHAT it is you are looking for, otherwise you’ll end up doing what’s sometimes referred to as: spraying and praying – sending your CV out to anybody and everybody, and praying that someone will get back to you with the dream job offer. I probably don’t have to tell you that it rarely, if ever actually works that way. Employers like people who are targetted and focused, who know what they want – or at least who look like they know what they want. So define what industry/industries you are interested in, and what types of roles are you interested in/suitable for. And start your search with that as your focus.

Some people may find this limiting, but it doesn’t have to be. A word of caution, whilst starting from a place of figuring what you don’t want is okay, don’t leave it there. Not wanting certain things isn’t a direction, and won’t give you a focus.

3) Know your strengths, skills – and references to the fact

In addition to knowing what you want, the next important thing is to know what it is that you can offer a potential employer. Most people leave this to the interview process, and it might be too late. You’ll also need to know this for your cover letters and any possible conversations you have with recruiters or with people who can introduce you to the right people.

Most of you could probably tell me without much thinking what you’re not good at. I strongly urge you to change mindsets here. For between now and when you get your next job (and preferably after as well) focus on what you are good at, how have you added value to your previous employers, what you enjoy doing. And as important is identifying who you could ask to speak to your strengths when someone asks you for a reference.

4) Get your “tools” sorted out

So you know what you are looking for, and you know what you have to offer. Now is the time to get your ‘tools’ for the job search process ready. Find the latest version of your CV and update it with your most recent jobs. Make sure that your CV focuses on how you have added value to your previous employers not only on what your responsibilities were. For example, instead of saying: ‘responsible for monthly meetings’, write: ‘organised the agenda and effectively ran monthly meetings for department of 14 people resulting in increased communication within the team’ or whatever better describes what you actually did and what the impact of it was to the organisation you were working in.

Some people will be tempted to write a master cover letter at this stage as well. I’d have a trial copy, but resist the temptation of having a standard one you send out. Employers want to know that you are interested in them specifically, so make sure you always always always customise your cover letters.

5) Do your initial research

One part of job searching that most people miss is actually doing the initial research to find out what’s actually out there and where to find the jobs that you are looking for in the industry you are interested in. I’ve read statistics that say 66-75% of jobs in London are not advertised! So how do you find them? By having conversations.

Informational interviews is the ‘fancy’ term for these conversations. Essentially it’s about finding people in the industry who will help answer your questions about the work itself and how most people got about looking for work in that field. It’s also a great way to present what your strengths are, so even though the person you talk to may not have jobs on offer, if (s)he likes what they hear, and a colleague of theirs says they are looking for someone, then your name may get thrown around as a possibility.

This type of networking is invaluable throughout the job searching process, as it helps you to build the contacts you’ll need in the eventual job itself. It also helps to build your knowledge of the field for possible future interviews.

6) Identify what your preferred job searching methods are

In addition to conversations, there are many job searching methods to choose from. Most people stick to the internet, newspaper ads or recruitment agencies. Whilst I know people who have been successful using these methods, they are not always the most effective. It is worthwhile to search in industry magazines and websites, and to talk to people who have contacts in the area. This is a far more likelier way of getting what you are looking for.

“What Colour is Your Parachute” (the job hunter’s ‘bible’) advises that it’s best to choose 2-3 methods that you will primarily use in your job search. This helps you to keep focused, and it helps you not to spread yourself too thin, and yet not put all your hopes in one basket.

7) Define how much time you want to spend on a weekly basis

Job searching can easily be a full-time job. Most people talk about ‘finding time’. My experience is that it can’t be found, but it can be ‘made’. I recommend to clients (whether working or job searching full-time) to define how many hours they will spend on job searching per week, and then to put this time in their calendars. One of my clients called it ‘meeting myself for job searching purposes’. My experience is that if it isn’t written up, you won’t take the commitment as seriously, and it’s unlikely to happen.

8) Set yourself goals on a weekly basis

In addition to defining how much time you are going to spend each week and when, I also recommend that you set yourself numerical goals for each week. Because how do you measure job hunting? How do you know when you’re done? It’s a lot more motivating to have goals that we accomplish. Yes, your ultimate goal is to get a job, but that’s not one that you can actually control. You want your goals to be ones that are completely dependent on you doing the work. So set down targets such as: write 5 applications, check out 10 websites, talk to X, Y and Z. This will help you to be so much clearer about what you are doing, and also help you avoid spending hours surfing on the net without much to show for it!

9) Practice your interview techniques

Don’t leave getting ready for interviews for the last minute. Even if it’s downloading a list of ‘most typical interview questions’, reading through them and thinking how you might respond – that’s enough. Begin to feel comfortable about answering any type of questions, as the interview is inevitably in front of you, and that interview is what will land you the job.

10) Let the people who are close to you help you

Most of us feel we have to do things ourselves, and we’re not very good at asking for help. And yet most successful people say that the secret to their success is hard work AND utilising resources (such as people) around them. There are several things that the people around you could do for you. For example, they can support you in general, they can have invaluable contacts you may not know they had, or they can offer an extra pair of eyes to look at the jobs that they might come across that fit what you are looking for.

In summary, it’s tempting to give up on a plan if it doesn’t work, but the people who are most successful stick to their plans, and if they are not working, they don’t dump them, they revise them! So put together a plan, amend it along the way if you have to – but stick to it!

How to Find a Job (Part 2)

Files under job | Comments Off

One of the most useful things that you can do whilst looking for work is to go out and make contacts. But also do not forget that the most direct way to find opening and opportunities is to approach employers directly. This can either be done in the first instance by letter or in person.

You will receive some rejection s at this stage. Some employers will simply not see you and others may give you the brush off. You will have to consider that this is there lose not yours. When you are visiting a potential employer or agency take every opportunity to fill in an application as you never know where it might lead too.

One of the most depressing places that you can go to is your local job centre. There is nothing more depressing than seeing possibly hundreds of people in the same position as you. However, it is still worth calling in and checking the job availability boards and seeing what jobs, training or courses are on offer.

It is also worth remembering that the job centre is not the only place where jobs are advertised. Both national and local newspapers have employment sections as do magazines aimed at professionals. An increasing number of employers are now turning to the Internet to advertise available posts and this could be a fruitful area to search. There are also online job agencies and again it could be worth submitting your resume to some of these.

If you have been unemployed for a couple of months it is very easy to start believing that you will never get a job. This is depressing enough but at this stage you may also be feeling the financial strain. If you sit at home doing nothing your enthusiasm and energy will begin to drop. One antidote to this which could also help you to get a job is to become a volunteer.

Although it is unpaid work this can help you in two ways. First of all it gets you back into the routine of doing things, even if it is only part time. Also it gives you an opportunity to use those skills that you would use if you were at work. Do not be ashamed to let people know that you are doing this work because you are unemployed and looking for work. It may well be that someone will spot you, see you are doing a good job and offer something permanent.

The only danger in doing voluntary work is that you can become so involved that you forget that your main task is job hunting. So do not lose sight of your main objective.

With over 2 million unemployed in the UK it is not easy to get a job. To find out how to Get a Job and get a free chapter of “Get Me A Job Now” visit http://www.getmeajobnow.co.uk

Is Job Search Success Eluding You? 3 Steps To The Right New Job

Files under job | Comments Off

Job hunting will always be stressful, particularly in times like these, but there are ways to reduce the stress and shorten the search. Success is a matter of knowing what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Here are three steps to super-charge your search for a new job.

STEP 1 ASSUME THE RIGHT PERSPECTIVE

There are dozens of small steps in a successful job search campaign. Many of them will lead to nothing, but each will add to the momentum of your search… and it is momentum that ultimately leads to success. Success is attracted to speed! Focus on the big picture and commit yourself to acquiring the right tools, developing a plan, and executing the plan relentlessly until you have received an offer you like. Remember, even in a bad market, you can track down good job openings and gain interviews — if you go about it the right way.

STEP 2 GATHER THE RIGHT TOOLS

A paper resume, an electronic resume, good cover letters, resume cards, marketing lists and a plan. These are the tools you will use.

A resume is probably your most important tool, so keep in mind that it is better to have no resume at all than to have a bad one. If possible, have your resume, both paper and electronic, prepared by a professional resume writer (not typist).

Resume cards are equally important as they are able to go places your resume alone never could. They can open new doors and pave the way to getting your resume read… which must be accomplished in order to land interviews and job offers. Professional resume cards are opportunity stalkers!

A target marketing list, for the most part researched and developed online, is best described as a list of employers who are not necessarily advertising new positions, but are known to employ persons with your background and skills. This list is your pathway to the invisible (hidden) job market.

You should also compile a networking list (past supervisors, peers, customers, your banker, insurance agent… every professional person in your sphere with whom you enjoy good relations). Next come your personal reference list, the placement (employment) agencies you will contact, the websites you will use to post your resume and check job openings, plus any newspapers you will follow to check job advertisements and learn of new business start-ups or expansions.

Finally, we come to your self-marketing plan. Without a written, comprehensive job search plan to which you are committed, you will do one thing today, something else tomorrow and perhaps nothing at all the following day. Consequently, you will build no momentum, which will lead to a lot of frustration and a prolonged job search. Job search should be a full-time job if you are unemployed and a regular part-time job otherwise.

Develop a formal schedule for daily/weekly job search activities, giving top priority to tasks, such as telephoning, that must be handled during normal business hours. Computer and administrative work can be handled in the evening or as time permits during the day. Any job search must be flexible as there will be job fairs, networking events, employer interviews and other important functions that require time away from your desk… however, it’s equally important to stay current with your job search plan.

STEP 3 EXECUTE YOUR PLAN

Begin making daily networking contacts, applying online, posting your resume, handing out resume cards, answering advertisements — in general following your formal job search plan. There are two important rules when applying online or mailing your resume to a prospective employer: first, visit and study their website so you will be equipped to write a compelling cover letter. Second, follow the employer’s posted application instructions exactly as stated. Keep meticulous notes regarding all contacts and follow up each one with a telephone call, note or email. Maintain control by working your various lists in sections.

The secret is to keep working the weekly schedule until you have been hired into a new position. Never break your momentum by waiting to hear from a job interview. Send thank-you notes to the interviewer(s) and get back to work.

Using Facebook to Find a Job

Files under job | Comments Off

Facebook is HUGE! Prepare yourself for some statistics so you can see just how huge: Facebook has more than 400 million active users, 50% of active users log on to Facebook in any given day and more than 100 million active users currently accessing Facebook through their mobile devices. In Europe we are not such a fan as in the US but even so there are 18,701,820 members registered in France, compared to 25,110,180 in UK.

These statistics come from the Facebook press room and I have no reason to believe that they are exaggerated!

The logical conclusion to draw is that if you don’t know Facebook yet and you are looking for a job then you need to look into it!

How can you use Facebook to find a job?

It is like the other social networking sites; the purpose is to make connections (in this case ‘Friends’). It has been the place where people share more of their ‘social side’ but it is being increasingly used to exchange information about business and corporate life but from a personal standpoint. So it’s a good networking site. Most big companies have their own ‘pages’ where they are hoping consumers will post positive comments about their products and so on, so if you know of companies you want to work for you could have a look and see what people are saying about them.

You can also look up Jobs in the search bar and this will show up useful pages and website addresses.

There are now applications available to companies which allow them to post up-to-date vacancies and give you the chance to even apply for a job from your Facebook space but it is yet to be fully exploited so keep watching! It is bound to come.

Some people say that you can’t mix business and social networking on Facebook so there is no point trying, and you do have to be very careful with this site more than the others we have looked at. There are a rangeof privacy settings but if you are connected to your friends on Facebook (as most people are) then you will only have limited control over what is posted by them and this is what gets you into trouble with prospective employers!

Here are some tips if you decide to use Facebook to look for jobs:

• Registration is free so you can go in and have a look around without giving much away about yourself at the start

• Once you have decided you want to be part of Facebook, then complete your profile but be careful and don’t post anything that you don’t want a prospective employer to read.

• Don’t post compromising photos and ask your friends not to post their photos of you the ‘worse for wear’ at their birthday party

• Check your privacy settings and select what is right for you. But remember if you want potential employers to find you, then they won’t be able to if you make your account ‘Friends only’.

• Only post content relevant to your job search or your career

• Recruitment companies use Facebook to check out potential candidates so keep this in mind!

• If you’re going for a high-powered job, you can expect the company to check out everything you have put on social media sites, so make sure what you put on Facebook is consistent with what you have on your LinkedIn profile and what you say about yourself on Twitter.

TOP TIP

Just be sensible and careful with how much information you reveal on Facebook, more so than with Twitter or LinkedIn.

Cash Advance: Pros and Cons

Files under cash | Comments Off

Cash advances are short-term loans that are taken in case of emergencies when the individual depends on their paycheck to pay their bills. An extreme medical emergency or a credit card bill or other kinds of unexpected expenses might result in an individual opting for a cash advance.

Though cash advances are made against a credit card or paycheck, the interest on this loan is charged from the day the advance is taken. Also, since this kind of loan is taken only in case of emergencies, the interest rates can be very high. Also, even if the credit is extended when the individual cannot repay the loan by the specified time, the increase in the interest rates can make the interest on the amount then be sky-high when compared to the interest on regular loans.

Since these are short-term loans, the amount us usually not very high. Most of this cash advances are not more than $500 to $1000 because the amount needs to be repaid from the next paycheck or by next credit card installment. The borrower needs to provide the company with a post-dated check containing enough amount of money to cover both the principle and the interest.

Cash advance companies provide a variety of options to avoid long lines at their stores. Individuals can apply online for a cash advance if they can provide the requisite details online and the money would be deposited into the account through electronic transfer once the details are verified, and the whole process shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes. The lender can be given the option of withdrawing the money directly from the borrower’s checking account on the payday.

Cash advances are also made at some banks, as well as at stores specialized in the money lending business. Banks provide the option of an automatic electronic paycheck deposit and so make the process a lot easier.

It is very important to remember that a cash advance is a form of loan with very high interest rates and it is not advised to apply for cash advances very often. It is better to consider other options before opting for this kind of loan as the interest rates can prove to be very high when the individual is unable to repay the money and chooses to rollover to the next month.

Cash Advances provides detailed information about cash advances, cash advance companies, cash advance lawsuits, and more. Cash Advances is affiliated with Check Cashing Kiosks.

Turn Your Pictures Into Cash – Sell Your Photos Online!

Files under cash | Comments Off

People looking to make some extra cash every month from the comfort of their own home can be found everywhere, but, despite the promises more and more websites make, not every opportunity is real. If you’ve ever tried to make money taking surveys, for example, there’s a high possibility that you managed to earn some nice money but never got to withdraw it. I know that’s what happened to me a few months ago.

When it comes to such opportunities, I can recommend trying to sell your pictures online. Not only this really works, but I’ve managed to make a comfortable living this way since a couple of years ago.

What you need to do in order to make money selling photos online is to upload the pictures you take to specialized websites and wait for others to buy them. From my own experience, I can say the average pay you can expect for one unique photo is about $2.5. I say “unique” because you only get to sell one particular photo to a single person.

If you choose to have your picture uploaded to the so called “stock photos” websites, you will get multiple commissions for a single photo. That’s because more than one buyer can download one picture. In this case you will get a smaller pay (about $1), but it certainly adds up with the time and your profit increases.

Making $2.5 for every sold photo may not seem like much, but imagine what you could make if you submitted 100 every month. That’s an easy $250 for one or two hours’ work, every month.

But what if you decided to spend two hours every weekend, taking 100 pictures? That would mean a projected profit of at least $1000 per month, for a very pleasant job.

The fact is that I’ve been making a living this way since two years ago, when I went on a trip to Thailand. I got back with about 4000 photos and decided to submit the to specialized websites. During the next 2 months I made a profit of a little more than $10,000!

And the best part is you only need a digital camera to make this work. No previous experience is required, whatsoever.

When it comes to complete beginners trying to make money selling photos online, I can mention my friend Jessica and her quest to making $3000 per month. She started a few months ago and already managed to make a little more than $2000 a month, so her journey is coming to an end. At Sell Your Photos, you can find a report of her progress and learn a lot from her experience. Make sure you check it out!

Cash Flow Financing – Your Ultimate Guide

Files under cash | Comments Off

Cash is certainly crucial to ensure the smooth operations of any business. As they say, cash flow determines the profitability of a business. A profitable business will always have a sound cash flow. In simple parlance, cash flow is the receiving of cash or income, and the spending of cash or expense for business purposes. This form of financing comes in practical when the cash flow becomes constricted to resolve common business financial issues and concerns, or especially when the business is suffering from financial constraints.

A business may suffer cash flow constraints when it extends the credit period of the customers. This is seen as necessary by businesses to increase their sales. On the other end, however, the cash becomes constricted. The longer the credit period, the higher the sales, the more thinner the cash flow becomes. When the cash flow spreads too thin, a business may suffer serious repercussions. Here is where the importance of cash flow financing comes in useful.

Financing improves the cash flow of a business since it provides the business with the necessary and steady cash to fund important operational aspects and expenditures of the business. Availing this type of financing is not as complicated as it sounds to be. There are several financial companies that offer this type of financing to businesses who may be in need of such.

There are also several types of financing, from secured financing to short term financing. The flexibility of this type of financing helps businesses to get the money that they need how and when they want it. It is also very usable and practical to small businesses for their start-up or for their expansion.

Secured Financing

When you avail of the secured cash flow financing, you need to present guarantees or collateral against the funds that you are borrowing from the financial company of your preference. As a business entity, you can present your real estate or your credit collectibles from your customers. Since the borrowed cash is made against collateral, the interest rate for this type of financing is at a lower rate. You will also have the ability to choose as to when and how you want to repay the money that you have borrowed with its flexible terms.

Short Term Financing

A business can use the short term financing for several purposes such as to expand the business, maintenance of vehicle used for the business, to meet emergency expenses, and many more. This type of financing can be obtained within 24 hours from application, and one can do it online.

The loan amount that a business can borrow depends on one’s capability to repay the borrowed funds. Interest rate is a little higher than that of the secured financing since the funds granted on this type is given without one having to surrender collateral or guarantee. What is good about this kind of financing is that you can conveniently and easily do the transaction online. In a matter of a few clicks, you are well on your way to receive the necessary funds for your business.
